kitchen updates

here is a picture of the kitchen when we bought the house

then we painted the cabinets and the trim and it looked a little like this

now matt and mark took out all of the cabinets so we can replace them with new ones - just a couple snap shots.

no cabinets

one cabinet built but not in place yet.

more updates are obviously to come!

still a long way to go!!

before this room was the nursery it was our closet. (excuse the mess but here are some before photos)

betty finished the last coat of paint this weekend. the curtains have since come down and the trim still needs to be painted however here is the paint!

achristina and betty put together our crib for us while I was out of town and matt was working on the kitchen (that post is to come)

the blue turned out to be such a great color!! still has a long way to go but its getting there!

baby boy

matt has finally decided on a color for the nursery (he hated all my ideas) and we have one coat done.... one more to go (and when I say we I mean Matt).

Sherwin Williams Poolhouse is what was selected. Its VERY blue!! Especially considering I wanted something nuteral. But it looks great on the walls do far!

happy new year!!

here was my new years day project... it has already at this point been cleaned up soooooooo much however betty and I decided it would be good to put down bricks in this area (where we keep our trash cans). I decided to tackle it new years day - we have  ton of bricks left over from where we took them out around the back yard flower beds.

here is the final project (well almost final - we still need to put sand in between the bricks but that is not something you can see the difference in a picture).

coat rack

one problem with having an old house is lack of storage. we don't have an entry way closet and although we don't need one year round we decided to take one section of our entryway bookcases and make it a place to hang our coats.

i think it turned our pretty good!
